I really want the show on DVD, but i’m not sure where I can get it for region 1. I have a playstation 3 and I believe that plays most DVDs, would that be enough if I get it for region 2 or otherwise? If not, where can I see the episodes online?

In the instructions for a daewoo DF4501-p dvd player is says the player is region 2/region ALL. Does this mean I can play any region dvd on this player? Ive seen a usa region 1 dvd which I want to buy,but not sure it will work. thanks for any [...]

Region Code: Region 1: US, CA
So that means it would work here in the USA right? I thought it would, but I just wanted to make sure.

Or does it just mean a variety of formats like divX, mpeg4 rather than DVD regions?
No it means that it will take most types of recordable discs. ie. DVD-R DVD+R DVD-RW DVD+RW and probably DVD-RAM (which can be written to and parts deleted, and the space re-used without formatting )

As far as I know, regions are simply locks that prevent you from playing what is essentially the same type of disc, only it’s been locked into playing for only certain players. So I figure a hack just unlocks this and shouldn’t have any affect whatsoever on a DVD player’s performance. Can anyone [...]
