How much is a meal and drinks on the coast of spain?

February 27, 2010 - 7:27 pm 3 Comments

Going sailing, we’re going to be stopping in a few ports along the western coast of spain (Don’t know which – Cadiz, up to La Coruna, maybe portugal, all that region).
I’m stressing about how many euros I need to take.

How much is say a 3 course meal and drinks? How much can I be looking to spend a ‘night out’ (not gonna party hard, just sustenance).

How many euros! Recent info only please! Thanks!

In Spain

The bargain is the ‘Menu del D’ia’. Ten Euros gives you three courses with a drink and sometimes coffee. It is usually only available at lunchtime but my bar does it at night and weekends for 14 Euros.

Normally the ‘menu’ is only during the working week.

Dinner costs about €30 but you should shop around.

How do you pronounce "La Campanie" in french?

La Campanie means Campania, the region in Italy. How do you pronounce this in french?

lah-cã-pah-NY

Probably the easiest thing is hearing how to pronounce it here: http://www.acapela-group.com/text-to-speech-interactive-demo.html

Just type in "La Campanie", choose a French speaker and you’re done!

Hope this helps

Where is la malenfandiere located on a modern map of france?

My family is from the region known as la Malenfandiere in Normandy, but I do not know what happened to their land or where la Malenfandiere would be in modern France. I would also like to know what happened to my family as well as the land.
Any info would be truly appreciated!:)

Tried searching for that, didn’t find much…

Time to begin an ancenstry search somewhere, I’d say…

My (slightly nonsensical) translation:
The registered statistics indicate a minimum average during the ‘80s and ‘90s outside ships began to enter and the commerce of the island extended to be the main supplier of the region, that or was a forest enclave dominated by the colonizing companies.

The registered statistics indicate a minimum average figures during the mid 80s and for the 90s foreign ships began to enter, and the commerce of the island extended because it was the main supplier of the region, at that time it was a forest enclave dominated by the colonizing companies.

Why does French Guiana have 3 flags?

February 17, 2010 - 12:46 pm 1 Comment

I’m doing a report and I can’t find any helpful information on the green/yellow flag, nor "la region". Any additional info would be greatly appreciated!
I need to know what each flag represents. The national French flag I already have a handle on, but the LA REGION, and the green/yellow flag I have no idea.

ok…

The french flag IS the official flag. First off, French Guiana is NOT a country, it is a colony.

The LA RÉGION flag is the official colonial flag.

The green and yellow flag is a flag of a liberation movement used by native independists.

anything else?

Am I on the right track to become an officer?

January 17, 2010 - 5:09 am 7 Comments

Right now my plan is to finish high school ( I’m a Sophomore) with passing grades of course . Go on to college Probably San Louis Obisbo then get a degree in Criminal Justice or what ever its called move back into a region of La and apply for the LA PD with my long term goal being a homicide detective.

Anything im missing? ( Fallback is army) then if anything move from LA PD to FBI if I have my bachelors

You’re on the right track. And you’re extremely literate for a sophomore as well, unlike most of the people here who want to be cops who write like texting monkeys. Just stay out of trouble and I have no doubt you’ll be fine.

PS – the Rock below me is my stalker – I don’t know why he’s passing off regular answers without any "I’m gay" stuff added, but that will come shortly. I dont’ know why he wants everyone to know he’s gay.
