You see id like to buy a multi region dvd player but dont want to have to type in unlock codes everytime using the remote. Can any one reccommend a model that is acutally region free out of the box that plays region 1 dvds here in the UK??

i have a ps2 bought in the uk and want to buy a dvd that i can only find encoded as region 1 (north america) where as the uk dvd players are generally region 2. does anyone know if my ps2 will allow me to play the dvd?

yeah.. but its not really available at your major electronics store, eg. best buy, circuit city and such.. but they do sell dvd players which can be "hacked" to be region free.. my Insignia DVD player from best buy costed me $25ish.. hacking it was as simple as opening the dvd tray.. pressing a few [...]
