Anyone who keeps chickens as a way of earning money from the eggs they produce or even as pets should consider where they are going to keep them, even if it is for a short time. I have built a few poultry arks in the past few years and have noticed that you must construct a high quality house for your hens or it may not last very well, especially in the harsh winter months and the windy spring time. It really pays to take your time and build the whole thing properly I believe and it keeps your precious birds safe as well.
