How do I unlock my Philips DVP 3356 DVD player region code?

I just bought a new Philips DVD player bearing the model number DVP 3356. It shows the error "Wrong Region". How do I unlock the region code for this DVD player?

This is explained for DVP5990 but it also works for DVP 3356

In short, the steps are as follows
1. Press SETUP on your remote
2. Use the down arrows to go to Preference tab
3. Dial 138931
It will display the current region on the screen.

4. Use the up/down arrow on your remote to set the region that you want. Region 0 will open it for all regions.
5. Exit from setup.

I think you can’t unlock region code limit or change region code for home dvd player, you can try to make region free DVDs from your region limit DVDs, then can play the region free DVDs on any region DVD player, you can try RZ DVD COPY, it can remove region code limit and copy DVD to a new DVD disc. You can yahoo or google search and download RZ DVD COPY, work well on my computer, easy to use, hope it can help you!
